First, I checked how many of the authors were actually autistic. And the answer is one - maybe: only Amélie Nothomb was described as being autistic, and that was on a single website with nothing to back it up. None of the people writing mainstream autism fiction are confirmed autistics.
And that is wrong.
Here is the result of that WIP I posted a while ago! I had a gorgeous screenshot of Fenris and wanted to turn it into a pretty portrait, so here it is! I really hope you like it!
Some things still bother me, but overall I’m very pleased with this! :D And now let’s see how long I can hold without drawing this asshole.
I give myself two or three days tops.
dragon game 2
- anders telling giant spiders he kills that’s what you get for fighting a mage
- doign magic literally right in front of templars and they just go “mages must be locked up they can’t be treated like humans like you and me *hawke nods vigorously while using frost magic to chill a beverage*”
I almost broke my neck trying to finish this
I’ve always wanted to draw something from act 3 but I never quite found out what, but since I figured I love both Sebastian and Anders so much, I decided to pit them against each other with Hawke and Varric not knowing what to do.
Originally I wanted more people in the drawing, like Meredith and Fenris, but that would’ve broken my neck for sure. and it’s messy enough as it is.

On Adaptations and Dreamcasting
So, Richard Armitage for Loghain and Chris Hemsworth for Maric in a live action adaptation of The Stolen Throne? Yes, hell yes, or ‘I am so sorry I did no think of this myself’ are all acceptable answers. Hahaha, but in all seriousness, if you did have a live cast for a Dragon Age movie, do you have any actors or actresses you would really want for particular roles? — fan question
A live action Dragon Age movie? Gosh.
Before I say anything, I’ll just state up front that I’ve no idea if such a project could ever conceivably happen. If it did, I’d have no knowledge of it and I’d be unlikely to ever be consulted regarding it (outside of lore matters, maybe?), so take any of my opinions on it as the same kind of hypothetical speculation that y’all get up to.
So, with that in mind, I’ll say that I find the idea of a live action Dragon Age movie difficult to picture…at least insofar as most Dragon Age fans probably picture it, which is as a direct adaptation of either Origins or DA2.
“We spent actual time debating whether Idris Elba should play Duncan, Anders, or every single role in the movie. Because Idris Elba.”
